Tummy Time!!!

Ella loves her tummy time! She is really getting strong and lifts her head and holds it up for quite awhile. One of her favorite things to do is to lay up by our shoulders and hold her head up and look around. We aren't quite sure the distance she can see now, but Ella acts as though she sees further than 12 inches:)

Once she is done, she is done:) Here she is NOT sleeping in the bouncy chair, hooray!

6 weeks in...

We are having a great time! Ella is starting to get more animate and is making lots of fun noises. It's wonderful, she doesn't just cry anymore:)

I am really enjoying being home with Ella. I will be going back to work on May 20th. My students will be with me until the 24th, then two work days after Memorial Day. "Why go back?" everyone asks. Well, I do want to see my students off for the summer. We were together all year. I used to just have my students for a semester.

We took Ella to the Taste of Marietta over the weekend. We will get some pictures up of that soon. I forgot the camera so Suzanne is going to send them. I know, I need to get better at that. She did a fabulous job. We were there for about 4 hours. Ella had to drink chilled milk, which she was definitely not a fan of. But, she was hungry enough to eat it. It was not the place to nurse... Anyhow, Ella needed a hat for the outing and it was difficult to find one that fit her...

We are trying to work on napping in a place other than the bouncy chair...

That pose lasted all of 7 minutes.

Of course, Ed, holding his pride and joy. We had to support the (RED) campaign...

Our next round of visitors starts on Sunday:) I am going to go and get some Mommy pampering time in while everyone is here:)

Ella's been busy...

Well, first of all, it's offical...Ella is one month today. She has smiled a few times, and of course I am thinking I am awesome entertainment for her, then she follows those smiles up with a cry...hmmm...I did brush my teeth this morning...

Ella has had a couple of busy weeks! We have been shopping, out to lunch, for coffee...

I am thinking that Suzanne and I exhausted her on the lunch and shopping trip this day...

When we don't get out of the house, she looks a little bored just hanging around...

Daddy and I took her to lunch over the weekend and, of course, shopping. Ella looked awfully cute in the outift that Aunt Dawn bought her...

And, the long awaited end to tax season came yesterday! Ed was very excited, and exhausted, as you can see...

The amazing part of this photo, Ella stared at her Daddy like that for a good 10 minutes before he woke up. I think he thought they would both sneak a quick nap:)

Alone with Ella...

Everyone is gone and it's just the three of us. Things have been great (two days so far:)) Ella is sleeping in her crib at night, which caused a few tears for Mom. She did a fabulous job and is still sleeping well at night.

Ella has started to be more animated and making a few new noises. She also enjoys her swing.

We had our first lunch date today. Ella met a boy:) Logan was born on February 13th. It was nice to get out of the house and have conversation with someone who is just ahead of me. Erin is a first time mom too.

Here she is before our date...you can't tell but her shirt says "Mommy's Little Girl"

Ella's last out of towner until May...

Aunt Dawn is her current visitor. Aunt Dawn is loving up Ella and of course, brought her a stylish outfit as well. We can't wait to put her in all these fun clothes! Aunt Dawn has the touch of getting Ella to sleep.

After Aunt Dawn leaves, it will just be the three of us until May. Then Grandma's, and Grandpa Ed will be coming for a week each. Hopefully we will have more of a schedule by then. So far, Ella does pretty good with sleeping and eating. If we could just get the longer stretch through the night...

Ella's doctor news, visitors, and cuteness...

Ella had her 2 week check up and she is now up to 7 pounds, 15 ounces! And to think she was 6 pounds, 14 ounces the week before. The doctor said she grew another inch, so that put her at 20 3/4 inches. It's amazing, just add milk and she grows.

Ella also wanted to show off her Tax Deduction onsie, which Mommy bought for Daddy when she found out she was pregnant. Of course, being tax season, Ed's fellow workers enjoyed seeing that one.

Ella has had more visitors! Ed's mom and Gary came for a few days and Grandma sure spoiled her with new clothes:) Ella won't need anything for awhile.

The first Meyer Family outing, outside of the doctors visits, was to Frontera and Babies R Us. Ella slept right through both. Looking at the picture in her car seat, it is kind of hard to tell how she managed sleeping for so long. She loves to have her head parallel to the seat!

Grandma Di also got Ella this cute sleeper! Ed loves it because it is functional! Meaning, at 2 in the morning he can just zip it up. No snaps to try to line up:)

And the last picture is Daddy feeding Ella in her functional sleeper:) He sure is a proud Daddy!
